Sunday’s Sermon
This past Sunday, John McGowan taught about “How Do I Pray When… I’ve Sinned.” Missed it? View the message now. During the sermon, John mentioned a daily prayer guide which you can find here. To prepare for this coming Sunday’s sermon make sure to read Psalm 63.

GI Haiti Fundraiser
Come and enjoy some baked goods, as a few of the master chefs from the GI Haiti Team are holding a bake sale this Sunday, May 20 after service. All donations will go to their trip which takes place in two weeks! You’ll have the chance to meet team members and hear about what they’ll be doing while in Haiti. No donation is too small or too big so come with your stomach empty and your pockets full!

Service will be relocated to the Silver Spring Civic Building for next week only. Run With Team Jill’s House
Help celebrate children with special needs and renew their families by running the Marine Corps Marathon or 10K with Team Jill’s House! The MCM will take place on Oct. 28, 2012 at 8am in Washington, DC. Jill’s House has several spots available on their Charity Partner Team. In accord with our church Constitution, prospective Elder nominations will be received during the month of April. Currently, there is not a need to add to the Board. However, those who are recommended by the Nominating Committee and approved by the Board may be invited to participate in an Elder mentoring process when there is a need to replace a current member or add to the Board. If you would like to nominate someone, please talk to the individual first to assure that he prayerfully aspires to the position of Elder (1 Timothy 3:1), then give that person’s name to Elder Mark Hernandez at mark.hernandez@mcleanbible.org. Before nominating someone, please review the qualifications and duties of elders, which are available at the Welcome Center.

They will be teaching us, from Scripture and their own marriage, principles for building a godly marriage and family. Some of the questions they will be answering include: What does it look like for a husband to lead spiritually? How can couples build a devotional life together? Easter Sunday – All Campuses Joining For One Amazing Celebration
Ever since we went multi-campus, we’ve been looking for an opportunity to bring all of our campuses together for one service and Easter is that time. It’s the most significant celebration of the year for us as believers. So, Silver Spring, Arlington, PW and Tyson’s are all meeting at 5.30pm on Easter Sunday (April 8th) in the Smith Center at the Tysons Campus. Trust us, you want to be here for this. If you want to go but need a ride or just don’t want to make the drive sign-up online to ride the shuttle from the Round House Theatre. We will meet at 3:30pm at the theatre and will head back approximately a half hour after the service ends so we can enjoy the After Party.
