Frontline Silver Spring Campus Staff

	John McGowan Frontline Teaching Pastor \| Email John \| My desire in life is to see young adults and college students living fully for the glory of God. I love to teach the Scriptures, pour into leaders and cast vision for the future of the church. All of that means I love being the Teaching Pastor of Frontline, the young adult ministry of McLean Bible Church and overseeing The Gathering, our college ministry.
	Mike Kelsey Campus Pastor \| Email Mike \| Mike joined the Frontline staff in 2007 serving as co-director of Ministry Teams and member of the Frontline teaching team. He and his wife, Ashley, grew up in MD and both graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mike’s driving passion in life is to see others becoming more passionate about impacting the world in Christ’s name.
	Ashley Kelsey Frontline Silver Spring Worship Leader \| Email Ashley \| Ashley is one of the worship leaders at Frontline. She works primarily at the Silver Spring campus, and also serve in a worship role at The Gathering, our college ministry. Her passion is to see people grow in their faith and have a greater understanding of who God is and how we should respond to Him.
	Nate Reed Frontline Silver Spring Producer \| Email Nate I originally hail from Washington State and I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Percussion and Music Education. I have the privilege of working with some incredibly talented people in Frontline Creative Arts. Together, we facilitate the Frontline services and strive to find creative ways to engage people in worship. I am primarily responsible for overseeing the creative elements of the Arlington and Silver Spring campuses.
	Mekdes Haddis Future Leaders Program \| Email Mekdes I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I grew up watching my mother who showed me the ways of the Lord and set a high standard of what it means to live for Christ. With a passionate heart to live for the Lord and do big things for His kingdom, I came to the U.S. and joined Liberty University where I received a degree in Communication Studies. Even though I’ve sensed a call to full time ministry early on, I never dared to pursue it fully. After working at MBC for the past 2 ½ years as a professional staff, God opened up the door for me to join The Future Leaders Program. I am working at Frontline Silver Spring with Small Groups and Global Impact short-term mission trips. My desire is to love and serve God’s people and give all that I’ve been given freely to the best of my abilities and make disciples that will do the same for His glory.
	Heather Torres Frontline Silver Spring Operations Manager \| Email Heather I moved to DC from upstate New York in 2008 and have since called Frontline my church home. I have the privilege of serving the Frontline Silver Spring community by helping to create a welcoming and caring environment for our congregation both at our services and thoughout the week. I thank God for allowing me to be a part of all that He is doing in Silver Spring!
	Pete Berlin Gathering UMD Campus Director \| Email Pete Live for Christ’s fame! That phrase became my motto in college. My best memories from college revolve around being a promotional team leader for The Gathering at George Mason University. I made sure everyone knew The Gathering existed on campus to impact students with the message of Jesus Christ. Making God’s name famous on a secular campus was my passion and my daily life. Born in Fairfax, raised in Manassas, I have been in Northern Virginia my entire life. Following my graduation from GMU, I attempted to use my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice to pursue a career in federal law enforcement. However, I encountered some roadblocks that led me to consider applying to the Future Leaders Program. After much prayer and inner debate, I decided that God had called me to take on a full-time ministry position. I am the Campus Director for the Gathering at University of Maryland. I now equip students to lead ministries on campus and foster a community of students who love God and love others. I am quickly realizing that I have the best job in the world!
